About Arnhem Land, Australia

Arnhem Land is part of the Northern Territory of Australia located in the north-eastern corner. It remains one of the largest Aboriginal Reserves in Australia and is best known for its isolation, the art of its people and the strong continuing traditions of indigenous inhabitants.

Northeast Arnhem land is home to Yonglu, one of the largest indigenous populations in Australia. Other major populations are Yirrkala, Gunbalanya, Ramingining, and Maningrida.

These populations groups have very little western influence.
